It's often been said that It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was the psuedo-successor (though, Curb Your Enthusiasm could also be in the running for that title) to Seinfeld in that the characters were all terrible people who found solace in their own friendships. But the characters on It's Always Sunny are, like, truly terrible people times one thousand. But it's Charlie Kelly who is the least awful of the bunch and that may just be due in part to his stupidity. He has a childlike idiotic quality about him that can either be really hilarious or really endearing. Either way, his illiteracy will never get old.
Charlie Kelly: Lead character on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia portrayed by Charlie Day.
No clue, but I will take your word for it.
