On September 12th, David Ortiz became just the twenty-seventh person in history to accomplish an incredibly rare and challenging feat. Hit five hundred home runs in his MLB career. His five hundredth came off a pitch from Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Matt Moore at Tropicana Field and Boston Red Sox fans the world over rejoiced! He joins Manny Ramirez, Jimmie Foxx, and Ted Williams as the only other Red Sox to ever join the club. Congratulations are due to Big Papi!
