The Pixar Slate

At this year's D23 Expo, Pixar revealed their next six cinematic releases by showcasing a wall of posters for their movies, four of which are sequels and two of which are original stories. Even more recently, Pixar announced the release dates for these films that are coming off the hot tail lead by Inside Out, championing Pixar's return to the foray of movies. The lukewarm, cast-overhauled The Good Dinosaur will be in theaters later this year on November 25th, 2015, specifically. Finding Dory, the long-awaited follow-up to Finding Nemo comes next year on June 17th, 2016. The whatever-I-guess-this-is-just-for-merchandising-but-who-knows-maybe-they-actually-figured-Cars-out Cars 3 will be released almost an entire year late on June 16th, 2017. Coco, the Dio de los Muertos movie that I've been excited about for forever will come and serve as Pixar's second dual-movie year on November 22nd, 2017. Toy Story 4, a film of which I am inordinately skeptical, will bow on June 15th, 2018. And finally, the Pixar film that most deserves a sequel (sans Toy Story), The Incredibles will get one on June 21st, 2019, fifteen years after the release of the first movie. It's all something to be excited about!

  1. Lots to be excited for and to anticipate. Hoping they know what the hell they are doing with this Toy Story sequel.
