50 Favorite Albums: 11

How could I have finished this list without a post paying tribute to one of the many albums from the King? Though this album does take place much later than most of his others (1970), this does not detract from its status as one of the greatest live albums ever recorded (Men at Work in Brazil, Jason Mraz's Live on Earth). All the hits were here. Heartbreak Hotel, Hound Dog, You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin', Blue Suede Shoes, Can't Help Falling in Love, Suspicious Minds. Every song on this album is a surefire rock and roll classic hit. And it makes it even better that a weathered, reflective, and primed Elvis Presley was the man singing them.

Showroom Internationale: 1970 rock and roll album from Elvis Presley.

  1. Love this choice. Have a bunch of his hits from a #1 Best of Collection CD from a few years back.
