3. Dustin Pedroia
Back again, back again. Coming in and starting off the top three (we've come so far) is my favorite athlete to ever live, Dustin Pedroia. 2008 MVP, 2007 Rookie of the Year, World Series Champion in both 2007 and 2013, Three-time Gold Glover, 2008 Silver Slugger, Four-time All-Star. The Laser Show has done it all while maintaining a top average and an unparalleled level of hustle in the game today. He is one of the best both Boston and the MLB will ever see and I could not be more happy he has the majority of his career ahead of him. Forever the Laser Show.
2. Mindy Kaling
The top two! The only thing that gets better than being in the top two is being in the top one. But here we are, alas. Mindy. The second greatest person in the world. She is a comedy legend already. Being a writer and actor on The Office is what started her successful career, but it was furthered by appearances on Curb Your Enthusiasm and in films like The 40 Year Old Virgin and This Is the End. Plus, her role in Inside Out next year is sure to be great. Mindy has cemented herself as an icon, however, with her hilarious book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns), an upcoming follow-up to that book, and by being the showrunner, executive producer, writer, and star of The Mindy Project, a stellar FOX comedy. In addition to all of this, Mindy has also been named to exclusive lists like Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People and People Magazine's Most Beautiful. Mindy is a role model.
Check the blog out tomorrow for the long-awaited reveal of the greatest person! Though, I'm sure it's not too hard to deduce.
Good #s 3 & 2, bet Novak would be a bit jealous of Kaling. I have an idea who is at #1.
