Ben and Jerry's is not a new player to honoring greatness in comedy. They've had flavors dedicated to Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert titled Late Night Snack and Americone Dream, respectively. More relevant to this post is the flavor Schweddy Balls from Alec Baldwin's iconic Saturday Night Live sketch. To honor SNL's fortieth anniversary, Ben and Jerry's has released two new flavors dedicated to the show. Two more will be released later, but for now, the flavors are Lazy Sunday (the video short with Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell from 2005) and Gilly's Catastrophic Crunch (Kristen Wiig's quality character). Who knows what will come in the near future? I'm excited to learn.
